What
is TWC's Outreach Program?
TWC's Outreach program enables students and teachers the opportunity to learn
more about technology and the various options available currently. The digitization
of the corporate world is occurring rapidly and technology is the future of every
company today. By offering opportunities to hear about and view leading edge technology,
students may become more aware of what technology exists today and what will be
happening in the future. TWC offers a variety of opportunities to assist with transition
from education to business / research including not only programs for students,
but sessions for teachers only, enabling them to bring technology into the classroom
themselves.

Why
should I get involved?
Learning and teaching about technology is rewarding. Technology can seem overwhelming
to many that might not understand the practicality behind the end result. And technology
affects us in almost everything we do---from watching TV, to contacting our VISA
card company, to driving a car---knowledge of technology is a useful asset. By becoming
involved, we're investing in the future of our region and the expanded growth of
our community. This is also a terrific opportunity to help guide and shape a student's
life by a simple presentation or discussion. The networking opportunities with individuals
that have similar interests also may be a useful tool as you continue on your career
path.
